Jane Salmon, local community campaigner was selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate to fight the East Walworth ward by-election on February 12th 2004.
Jane Salmon is the local candidate and has lived in the centre of Walworth for many years. Jane is very active in her local tenants and residents association, Congreve and Barlow TRA, a member of the Rodney Road neighbourhood forum, area leasehold representative for the Southwark Leasehold association and vice chair of the Southwark Councils leaseholder council.
Jane has also been one of the main campaigners in gaining resources for Salisbury Park, including £80,000 from Walworth Community Council.
Jane Salmon works in education in another London Borough and is a governor of Walworth School.
North Southwark& Bermondsey Liberal Democrats Constituency chair Gary Glover said:
