Liberal Democrats Declare East Peckham and Nunhead Renewal Areas

Liberal Democrat run Southwark Council's executive have given approval in principle to two new housing renewal areas in East Peckham and Nunhead. Commenting on the decision, Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Camberwell and Peckham, Cllr Richard Porter said "This is great news for the people of Nunhead and Peckham. Under Labour this area suffered years of neglect, something we're determined to remedy. Our proposals will, over a period of time, see these areas received much needed regeneration monies, targeted at poor quality private sector housing ".
