Simon Hughes, MP for North Southwark and Bermondsey, is helping Southwark residents to find work in difficult economic times.
Following the success of the last employment advice surgery held with Southwark Works, Simon will be offering further assistance and advice on employment issues on Friday 19th June. The surgery will be held from 10am to 2.30pm at the newly reopened Southwark Works Centre at 146 St James' Road.
Simon said "Southwark Works provide fantastic help with all aspects of finding and returning to work, including preparing CVs and practising interview skills. At our last surgery we were able to help people who had recently been made redundant from places such as Woolworths. We are also supporting Southwark residents who have been unemployed for a longer time to get back into work.
Looking for a job in the current economic climate is difficult for people all over our borough. I will continue to work closely with Southwark Works to support as many people who need it in getting back into employment."
