Rotherhithe Lib Dems welcome £40,000 investment in new Millpond ball court

Local Lib Dem councillors in Rotherhithe this week celebrated the opening of a new ball court on the Millpond Estate.

Local councillors Jeff Hook and Wilma Nelson helped secure £40,000 for the project which sees improved facilities for children who live on a round the estate.

Commenting, Cllr Hook said:

"I am pleased that the renovation of this ball court offers the residents and their children a great opportunity to have a decent play area, which is a wonderful outdoor facility."

Cllr Nelson added:

"It is amazing to see how this run down ball court has been transformed into a modern play area. Now young residents have somewhere to play close to home.
