Lib Dems welcome £230,000 upgrade of Great Suffolk Street shopping parade

Local Lib Dem councillors Adele Morris and David Noakes have joined local traders to open the newly refurbished Great Suffolk Street Parade.

More than £200,000 has been invested in improvements to shop fronts, paving and business support by Southwark Council after pressure from local Lib Dem Cathedrals ward councillors.

Speaking at the opening, Cllr Adele Morris said:

"Small shops and businesses are vital to our local communities so I'm really pleased to see the great transformation of the area which will hopefully encourage even more people to shop locally."
