Thames Water have started a consultation on their plans to build sewage works on the Alfred Salter playground in Druid Street and the Kingstairs gardens.
They would close the Alfred Salter playground for two years and Kingstairs gardens for seven while construction took place.
Given the years of investment in the area and their unique character and benefit for local children, Liberal Democrats are opposing these plans and are calling on Thames Water to find alternative sites.
If you agree with Simon Hughes MP and the Liberal Democrats that we need to fight these plans - join our campaign today. Register your views online (www.simonhughes.org.uk) or sign our petition at Simon Hughes' office in The Blue Market.
