Donna Harris for Dulwich & West Norwood
Donna was elected as a Councillor in May 2022 and she is the Liberal Democrat Leader of the Opposition at Lambeth Council. With a professional background in fashion buying and marketing, she has lived locally with her husband for more than 16 years, raising both her son Jacob and dog Sid in the area!
Donna is Chair of Lib Dem Women and a Green Liberal Democrat accredited candidate, and she continues to be a passionate advocate for environmental issues as well as those affecting women and girls. Donna also serves on the West Norwood Cemetery Advisory Group.
Upon her selection, Donna said:
“I couldn't be more thrilled that the local party membership has given me their overwhelming support to stand as the parliamentary candidate for Dulwich & West Norwood. As a committed European, I will fight for our place in Europe along with much needed political reform at Westminster, which are currently being denied by both the Conservatives and Labour.
I look forward to giving everyone across the constituency a voice, no matter their age, gender, ethnicity, or sexuality. People are fed up with their vote being taken for granted: they deserve better.”
Richard Wingfield, Chair of the Southwark Liberal Democrats, said:
“Across Dulwich & West Norwood, local people have lost faith in the Conservative Party, and more and more are turning to the Liberal Democrats as a positive alternative to Labour.
Since her election to Lambeth Council, Donna has worked tirelessly for her constituents, and relentlessly held Labour to account. I’m delighted that she can bring this same determination and courage to her new role.
The Liberal Democrats are the official opposition group on both Southwark and Lambeth Councils. As our Lib Dem candidate for this parliamentary constituency, Donna will stand up for residents in both boroughs and give them the chance to elect a committed and passionate MP.”
