Residents from across Southwark joined the Liberal Democrats last Thursday to discuss their ideas on how to improve the borough.

The World Café event, which took place at the Queensborough Centre, saw members, local councillors and residents take part in small group discussions on what they would like to see change in their local area. With no idea off the table, suggestions for improving the borough covered a wide spectrum of issues including police, housing and education.

Southwark Lib Dems have vowed to listen to local residents as they continue to develop their manifesto and a positive vision for Southwark.

Councillor Anood Al-Samerai, Liberal Democrats Group Leader in Southwark, said:

“I would like to thank everyone who gave up their Thursday evening to join us and share their ideas about making Southwark better. It was a really fantastic event which will provide great inspiration for Southwark Liberal Democrats as we start to piece together a positive vision for our borough that really listens to local residents views.”
